Dr. Tran Morin grew up in Beaverton, OR. She and her husband moved to Washington in 2016 when her husband accepted a position at UW. They both have been gymnasts for over 20 years and remain active training. They welcomed a son last year and are enjoying the adventures of parenthood.

Dr. Bentsen grew up on the Eastside. He has been on medical staff at EvergreenHealth since 2001. The variety and complexity of emergency medicine and working as a team to care for patients at their time of greatest need inspires him. When not working or spending time with his wife and 3 kids, he enjoys skiing, running, hiking and soccer.
Joe Mazzoncini, MD

Dr. Mazzoncini was raised in Washington State. After his years at the University of Washington, he served in the US Army and was deployed to Afghanistan where he managed medical care and evacuations for an infantry brigade. He has been happily married for more than 20 years and is raising three sons. He enjoys hiking, skiing, and mountain biking.

Linh was raised in Portland, Oregon. She previously practiced in Los Angeles, California. In 2017, she relocated to Seattle, Washington with her husband. She enjoys bouldering, running and spending time outdoors with her family. She welcomed her second son in September 2020.
Patrick Reinfried, MD

Dr. Reinfried was born in Zurich, Switzerland and moved to New Jersey with his family at age 6. After spending the next 25 years on the East Coast, he headed west, first to Colorado and then to Washington in 2008. He lives in Seattle with his wife and their 5 children. He loves the outdoors, especially skiing, hiking and cycling.

Dr. Barot spent her youth living in New York, India and Texas. She spent several years researching the neurobiology of learning and drug addiction. Afterwards, she decided to work in a more clinical setting and pursued a degree in medicine. She has fallen in love w/ the Pacific Northwest and lives here with her husband and 2 kids. She travels, skiis, reads, crafts, and herds cats for fun.

Dr. Crystal was raised in St. Louis, MO. After medical education he trained in the US Army, deploying to Iraq in support of the 4th Infantry Division. He joined EES in 2011 and has been the President since 2013. He has been married to his wife, Lilya, for 21 years and they are raising a son and a daughter. He enjoys travel, hiking, golf and road biking.

June is originally from China where she received biological and medical degrees. She came to the US in 2007 and was a research scientist at UW for the first 7 years. She then resumed her medical career as a physician assistant. She and her husband have been married for over 20 years and they have two children. June enjoys oil painting and crafting.

Liz was born and raised in Seattle. She has worked in emergency medicine, family practice, neurosurgery, and occupational health in addition to her current urgent care practice. She loves living in Seattle and is happiest when spending time outside. She is married with a son and daughter, and enjoys skiing, swimming, traveling, cooking and eating out with them.

Dr. Isackson was born and raised in Pennsylvania but decided to explore the Pacific Northwest for a while. Twenty-two years later, she is still exploring. She and her husband enjoy hiking, skiing, and raising their two sons.

Dr. Gardner was raised in Los Angeles. After studying at UCLA, he worked as an EMT in Santa Monica while applying for medical school. He met his wife in Ohio and they have adopted 2 cats and a dog. They love to travel, hike, van camp, and kayak.
Brad Younggren, MD

Dr. Younggren spent 7 years after residency in the US Army involved in resident teaching. He served with the 2-14 Cavalry in Iraq, earning a Bronze Star and Combat Medic Badge. In addition to emergency medicine, Brad has worked in digital health startups, currently as Chief Medical Officer at 98point6. Brad has two daughters, and enjoys cycling and yoga.
Jack Handley, MD

Dr. Handley served 8 years as an Army physician before moving to Woodinville. He has worked at EvergreenHealth over 20 years, serving as Medical Staff President and Monroe’s Chief Medical Officer. He is currently the EES Research Director. He is married with 2 wonderful children and enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, scuba diving and traveling.
Kevin Hanson, MD

Dr. Hanson has been practicing Emergency Medicine in the PNW since 2001. Interacting with patients is what keeps him motivated to be an ED physician. He serves administratively as Executive Director of Emergency Medicine & Urgent Care Services and many EES & EvergreenHealth committees. He enjoys time outdoors hiking, skiing and traveling with family.

Dr. Holm moved to the Seattle area after completing her emergency medicine residency in Minneapolis, MN. She and her husband have one son and they enjoy taking advantage of the outdoor activities in the pacific northwest like skiing and hiking. She also loves to scuba dive in her free time and has taken up underwater photography.

Dr. Tabibi has practiced medicine for more than 30 years, starting as a healthcare officer with the WHO in rural Iran. After training, Dr. Tabibi practiced surgery in Iran until 2000 when he immigrated to the US and completed additional medical training. He sees himself as a lifelong student and enjoys learning patients’ stories, reading, calligraphy and writing.
